VISIT TO THE MALT CROSS, NOTTINGHAM, SEPTEMBER 2016
The Malt Cross is on St. James's Street in Nottingham and is one of the last Victorian music halls in Britain.
As a Grade II listed building it has many important features including a roof made of laminated timber arching over the bar and a sandstone cave that forms part of Nottingham's cave network.
Our guided tour of the music hall and the old sandstone caves below gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the vibrant heritage of the site and the people who helped to make it one of Nottingham’s most notorious music halls.
